The John La Farge A room of rich burgundy tones, a crystal chandelier and a four poster queen bed laden with floral bronze satin coverlet, gathered sliver silk canopy, a teal sateen loveseat and desk ideal for reading or admiring the original John La Farge paintings that surround the room. Stepping into the oversized bathroom, marbled floors and a reproduction of one of John La Farge's famed stained glass in the large window situated above the double Jacuzzi bath is truly captivating. The Oliver Perry room, with its royal blue walls and natural wood trims is truly a house favorite. Italian linen coverlet appointment with navy pillows with gold stars on the king-sized four poster canopy bed has stateliness that dignifies this room with nautical touches. A plush couch, crackling fireplace and a single Jacuzzi tub and shower completes the comfort and serenity of this room. Sleeps 2. Margaret Perry La Farge This charming third floor room is tucked to its own side of the house making for a romantic hideaway. The Margaret Perry is the idyllic selection for a romantic celebration. A painted antique queen-sized iron bed has French Provincial flair of pale blues and yellows with a delicate lace backdrop and a porcelain floral chandelier. The bathroom gives this room its distinct appeal with a double Jacuzzi bath while whimsical lace curtains provide added ambiance and privacy. Sleeps 2. ![]()
Asian nuances give this third floor room with a view its distinctive character. Facing the western side of the house, the view of Newport's harbor and bridge make this room an experience to remember. Matthew Perry's travels brought him through Japan and China, and the room mixes textured wallpaper and various cultural artifacts throughout the room. A separate sitting room gives spaciousness to this suite. The gilded bathroom, stenciled in black enamel with red highlights and gold fixtures has a single Jacuzzi tub and shower. Sleeps 2 with plenty of room for a rollaway bed or crib.
Located on the second floor, the Master Suite is truly elegance at its best. The striking sizable room features a king-sized bed and sumptuous overstuffed chairs. Entering the bathrooms can be s stunning surprise as it is equal in size to the bedroom. Set circularly are the granite marble floors, separate shower, his and her vanities lit with opaque seashell fixtures, and the sunken Jacuzzi bath tub. There is an abundance of closet space and a separate toilet and bidet. The far end of the suite features a smaller back bedroom with full-sized bed, so the Master Suite is ideal for families.
